Paint the Town

Paint the Town is coming to Russian Jack in 2017!

Paint the Town
is part of our NeighborWorks Week of service and celebration. Across the United States, this week is set aside in June for NeighborWorks America organizations to mobilize tens of thousands of volunteers, businesspeople, neighbors, friends, and local and national elected and civic leaders in a week of neighborhood change and awareness. Since 2006 our community volunteers have painted 135 homes, and we’re excited to do it again this year!

Some of last year's highlights included:

  • Renovation of Williwaw Elementary School Ice Rink
  • Paint the Town – 5 homes painted by community volunteers (4 of which belonged to veterans)
  • Beautification of Palmer Museum & Visitor’s Center
  • NeighborWorks Board & Staff Marching in Palmer Colony Day’s Parade

This program is a wonderful way to bring people together to brighten homes, city blocks, increase neighborhood pride, and revitalize our community! If you know of any individuals or families in the Russian Jack neighborhood that you would like to nominate, send us a completed nomination form (link below) by April 7Th
